FISHERPOETS-ON-BELLINGHAM BAY
PRESENTED BY
WASHINGTON SEA GRANT

FRIDAY, SEPT 30, 2016 AT BOUNDARY BAY BREWERY & HONEYMOON MEAD BAR

Stroll through downtown Bellingham and listen to old salts – local fishers accustomed to mending and hauling nets, instead plucking guitar strings and adjusting their spectacles to read poems, stories, and songs in the 1st Annual FisherPoets-on-Bellingham Bay.  In this take-off on the renowned FisherPoets Gathering in Astoria, Ore., FisherPoets-on-Bellingham Bay promises to produce smiles and laughter as fishers share their tales over local ales (brewed right in the setting).

Catch the action at Boundary Bay Brewery, enjoy delicious Fish Fry Friday Fare in the Beer Garden while enjoying this inaugural FisherPoets-on-Bellingham Bay evening. A popular local dance band will follow into the night.

Also, stroll nearby to the Honey Moon Mead Bar and catch the rousing action of SeaShanties and more nautical tales.

I’ll be reading at Boundary Bay, 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 30th.  See you then!
