Poem: glacier

glacier serveimage

glacier

I like fire.

I watch fire,

it seduces me

as it rolls over stone

and soot-wood

If you wait long enough

I will tell you all my secrets.

They will calve off

crash into the ocean between us.

Truth, I will float tonight

salted for flavor

  1. Ah, I like this one very much, Shannon. It reminds me of the Kenai fjord, watching glaciers calve, along with cute otters holding stones and killer whales breaching like popcorn. The color of glacial ice is the most beautiful blue.
