Transform Your Workday with Motivational Songs (aka: how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb)

With fingernails that shine like justice and a voice that is dark like tinted glass

January 20, 2025

I want a girl that gets up early

I want some internet at American speed
A mocha steak with a side of potatoes
TV that takes me from Tuesday to need
and a two hour flight to Moscow

Give me a drug that does not tell the time
Tell me I’m pretty when I’m working behind
The desk at the front with smiles to spare
Give me a raise without giving a care

it is time.
to wake up.

I went to the gym today. I have the day off, and I’m feeling pretty unproductive. I feel a little like the last five years meant nothing: the progress bar had no upward movement, no stars for the day, no trophies.

I went and worked out for 30 minutes. Printed some zines for distribution next weekend while listening to my “Inspire Me” playlist. Up comes Cake’s “Short Skirt / Long Jacket.” You know, why not look as hot as possible when getting shit done? That is my question. Or is it a statement? It IS a statement. Yes, a statement.

The next song on the play list is The White Stripes – “Seven Nation Army”
I will bang my head to this all day!

Everyone knows about it from the Queen of England to the Hounds of Hell!

Lean into it
Let the darkness of space slingshot you around the sun

In Star Trek, the most well-known method of time travel is by performing a “slingshot maneuver” around the sun, where the ship travels at high warp speed close to the sun’s gravitational pull, essentially creating a time warp that allows them to jump to a different point in time
-Screen Rant

That’s all I got today. Sharing the songs that encourage me to get shit done
Took me until 2 pm to get out of bed today.
I’m up and stretching the boundaries of the day,
and the boundaries of my yoga pants, baby!
Get your songs on and get out there!
